Their sponsors won't be happy.

That comes across as pretty petty.

Kerry never pulled that stunt even after the Sunday Game went judge, jury and executioner on the likes of Galvin a few times.

Me thinks the lorry load of sponsors won't be impressed whatsoever with that

Anthony Tohill did the same to Paul Galvin once and that was while he was the international rules manager in an international rules test year. Kerry let it go.

Shows how low the dubs are. Wasn't it RTE and Ciaran Whelan that launched a media campaign against Lee Keegan last year

an armagh lad grabbed a down player by the throat nearly choking him late on in the armagh down game9clean game generally) and there wasnt a word out of them about it.which was the more serious incident? connolly is no angel but hes picked on..as was paul galvin and noel o leary in the past

Great to see a stance been taken.
I didn't say anything from the media regarding Paul Kerrigan laying a hand on the same official for cork against tipp.
I see Brendan Murphy was sent off again for Carlow today will his temperment or discipline be dragged through the ringer tonight ?

So it's pat spillane and colm o Rourke fault Connolly got suspended....... nothing to do with Connollys own indiscipline

Think Gavin s approach is all wrong here !

When Galvin got the ban for the finger in the mouth incident one of the cork lifted Gooch off his feet by the throat in the same game. End of the day, as with Galvin, if you are a high profile player with a reputation everything you will do will be under the spotlight. Like with Galvin, while they often got singled out they can only blame themselves for having no temperament. Connolly broke the rules, should of just accepted the ban and it all to end there and then

Shur what did we miss anyway? Some guff along these lines:

"Westmeath are a great side, we knew we were in for a tough battle today. We are just delighted to scrap over the line and get the victory here today".

I couldn't care less as these interviews with players and managers are just boring. I assume Dublin are making out that there is a witch hunt against them. Nothing compared to what Sean Cavanagh had to suffer after his tackle on Conor McManus, you would think he had murdered someone.

Such a load of bolix, what do ye actually care about no boring interviews that are practically automated at this stage.

Absolute joke, what Connolly done was wrong, it might have bring fairly harmless but it was wrong and the rules are the rules.
yes he might be the best player in the country but he was still wrong and this thing of him having no protection is stupid, the best player on a team whether it be Dublin or a club team is targeted so Connolly is no special case

I'm all for managers sticking up for and supporting the players but Dublin need to admit he was wrong.

As Pundits it is their job to discuss matches and incidents that occurred during a match.

Think the dubs have a case of sour grapes
