Replying To perfect10:  "when you win, great warm up.
when you lose, well the warm up is a new one, normally its the referee."
Ha you are spot on. Some warm ups are over the top but you can't just head out and fart around pre game for 20 minutes and expect to be tuned in. I heard Wolly and the lads on the GAA hour chatting about it, hardly a surprise that Parkinson and Cian Ward hated an intense warm up, not the best lads to be asing!

Replying To royaldunne:  "Meath warm up on Saturday was gruelling to even watch. It was long, intense, and at times seemed totally unnecessary, and this was prior to coming out to to a warm up for the match, mini games etc . It just seemed totally unnecessary in that heat , lads were visibly sweating. On a really hot day like that it was too much. I am a huge fan of Andy McEntee, but he got this one wrong."
Totally agree with you Royaldunne. I was scratching my head watching it myself. On the hottest day of the year going through such a rigorous warm-up (and so close to throw in as well) made no sense to me. Maybe science is being applied to all this but I do think a type of group think goes on in GAA coaching as well -- if a top county does something and is successful, the following year everyone else copy cats and there is very little deep analysis of the rationale behind it.
