I think you are hard on the hurling analysts. I think they get stuck into the tactics of the games and why one team won and another didn't. They are enthusiastic when they report on the games and it is hard not be. I don't think the passion and excitement of hurling games come across as much on tv. I have attended pulsating hurling games that looked good on tv but not to the extent of what it was like there watching it live. So maybe that doesn't come across on tv and the pundits are watching the game live at the venue, hence the disconnect between tv viewer and pundit at the ground. I like Brendan Cummins' analyse and other pundits on the night time Sunday Game. They show clips using cameras behind the goals and highlight puck outs and the movement of backs and forwards. Look, sorry if I offended you. Killarney.87 (Tipperary) - Posts: 2513 - 16/06/2017 18:00:35 2000442 Link 0 |
Spillane was very quiet on The Sunday Game about Burns from Louth kicking the ball at the umpire in Drogheda yesterday... Long.Dub.Glic (Dublin) - Posts: 190 - 18/06/2017 23:20:06 2001489 Link 1 |

You clearly don't understand how offence works. You wilfully misinterpreted my inoffensive post and got all stroppy.

O'Hanlon waited for the keeper to move before smashing the ball quickly down the middle. It was a brilliant penalty. A quality penalty taker knows to read the keepers movements before choosing a side (or down the middle) not just attempt to hit the ball in the corners.
