fact was Dublin played like under 9s and had a management with no game plan, poor reading of the game as Liam rushe had an absolute nightmare aswell as Shane Barrett and were left on giving up 10 yards of space to the Galway forwards they were marking. Any set of forwards playing inter county hurling would have revelled with that much space.
You don't have to be a skillfull hurler to be determined and mark tight and make it hard for a forward when he gets the ball, clearly that was not in Dublins preparations they made Galway forwards look world beaters on tv I bet."
Ah Galway we're way better but the ref had a shocker even the Galway lads admitted that. Still wouldn't have got near them but he had a bad game. The Sunday game panel said as much and so did Cunningham who never criticise's referee's.

Take nothing away from Galway way better team who are one of the favourites to win it out. Still think Tipp will have a big say in it yet.

Kelly had a very poor game, and definitely made some very harsh calls against Dublin. For O'Callaghan to see the line for something so minor, completely took the wind out of Dublin. The last 20 minutes was played like a challenge match as a result, which isn't ideal for Galway either. Still, there were some good performances from our side. Whelan is still looking very sharp and Joe's role is playing to his strengths. Offaly seem to be in the doldrums currently, but we can't take them lightly either. This team needs consistency of performance.

I wouldn't be hyping Galway up as a very good team based on today's evidence.
Dublin were atrocious today and yet had three clear goal chances before half time.
it was unbelievable the amount of room the Galway forwards were given to get the ball and shoot, so much so you couldn't judge what they were like as it was so easy to get the scores with absolutely no pressure on them. They did what they had to do that's all you could say about them on today's evidence. They should beat offaly and then the Leinster final will tell you where there at as they will be put under pressure regardless of who they meet that day.

Actually no one in Dublin is saying that Kelly decisions won it for Galway but it would have been tighter, would have been better for Galway as well.

The truly sad thing is that for the first time I can remember most Dublin hurling people seem to welcome the defeat as maybe the catalyst for change.

I have been following Dublin hurling since the '70s, Joey Towel, Holdens, the Murphy's etc and we have had bad days in those 40 years. But I never felt so empty watching a Dublin hurling team. So sad all around.

Dublin people know Ger C. is a good person but is team/man mangt skills seem lacking.

Thought Galway did what they had to do yesterday but going on that evidence will need much greater improvement to strive for AI honours this year.

Word of the crowd - fair play to the Galway support who travelled in great numbers yesterday. Must have outnumbered the Dubs 10 to 1.

Dublin hurling is going backwards. Some players who left the panel need to have look at themselves also. Going forward there is potential , but tactically Cunningham is poor, he has to go. Joe fortune should be allowed manage, we need a Dub man who cares about the county in charge.
