I never said about playing the Sam Maguire, i am a fan of having a tiered championship. What did Warwickshire do to deserve to play in the Rackard Cup? Or Lancashire in the Meagher Cup? They have players that aren't good enough to play in a county team at home (some players would be able to but not all) so why should they get a shot in effectively an All Ireland Championship? I personally don't see any difference between this question that the one you asked. If you are talking about the All Ireland in its current format, then I would agree with you but then again there are sides in that currently that don't deserve to be playing in Irelands top competition. There are lads playing on some county teams that would struggle to make an intermediate club side in other counties! thesilverfox (Tipperary) - Posts: 94 - 05/05/2017 14:45:09 1984717 Link 0 |

With the effort New York put in I think it's about time they were entered into the National League, the GAA could help out travelling teams with funding instead of giving it to Dublin GAA, the issue around Gaelic games has to be thinking of a world championship in the future and maybe having a US championship, an English championship, Middle East and Australian championships, the winners could then enter the All Ireland championship the following season at the provincial level in any province, now is the time to plan ahead when our people are all over the world and non Irish are playing the games instead of waiting for the economy to grow here and for our ex pats to return home riverboys (Mayo) - Posts: 1389 - 12/05/2017 15:31:50 1986271 Link 1 |
