Replying To SaffronDon:  "the problem is the money isn't coming from the GAA. Its coming from the government which is a take it or leave it offer. You can demand the grassroots investment with the rest of us but so far the GAA care less that you do about the city."

Brian McAvoy did an interview in Irish News yesterday and referred to this project quite a lot.
His particular targets areas are Belfast and Derry as you'd expect, i think he also mentioned Newry as well.

He's making all the right noises so far, however, the proof is in the pudding as you know and the ulster council in conjunction with the County Board came up with grand schemes before to assist Belfast GAA and theyre currently gathering dust.
