I'm curious as to the mentality behind this thinking? Does a high free count not mean one team was constantly fouling? Why do you think it means the ref might be biased?

Agree with you there were several off ball tackles like brogan and doogans, linesmen and umpires all can see these aswell and should be putting an input in. Officiating has been poor for last few years now and nothing ever gets highlighted by analysts or pundits it's just same old lane excuse of human error, but unless you raise poor officiating in general then the standards won't ever improve as they can just have had performances wiped under the carpet each week. hill16no1man (Dublin) - Posts: 12665 - 03/04/2017 19:51:44 1975011 Link 0 |
yep, properly designed and certified just installed in anew pitch at home 40mtr W x 22mtr H triple ply netting and multi strand 10mm cabling then 7cubic mtr concrete per stantion plus 4 cubic mtr per support strut. Soon adds up and could be more concrete depending on sub soil structure.

I didn't think Careys was a black , for me he had to put a tackle in and I think Fenton tripped over his legs when running through. For me he didn't deliberately pull him down so yellow was right. Someone saying Fenton went down easily from Hughes trip obviously never played sport, any little trip to the foot when running makes you go over easily enough.

Do they ever host hurling games in clones or omagh? Surely health and safety would have to have behind the goals closed at that rate as navan can't allow people behind goal because it has grass and not concrete surely no nets would be worse for hurling. hill16no1man (Dublin) - Posts: 12665 - 03/04/2017 21:38:20 1975081 Link 0 |
The lad who is emailing Monaghan county board about the nets behind the goal???? theborderfox (Monaghan) - Posts: 138 - 03/04/2017 21:53:58 1975090 Link 0 |
Initially I thought the foul on Fenton was a black but the replay shows the ref called it right. He was tugged back deliberately and the legs got tangled accidentally. It's only a black if he's deliberately brought to the ground and he wasn't. The net result might be the same but that's not what the rule states. We can argue about what the rule should be but that's not the refs call and he got it right.

Iamlegion666 Mentality ,wow take off the blinkers lad .joe Mac was terrible yesterday some bad calls on both sides agreed but Dublin defoo on the wrong side of his whistle .This has been a trend with the dubs for a long time .I Reject any acusation that this is a dirty team or a team found lacking in the skill of tackling .In nearly every game they play the free count goes against them this surely can not be a coincedence.

Not defending the lack of nets but tickets for Sunday were not assigned to particular areas of the ground. You could sit or stand wherever you wanted

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but if that was your mother that happened to you mightn't be so blasé.
