Roscommon fans intending to attend Sunday week's inaugural All-Ireland U17 football final against Tyrone at Croke Park have been advised that tickets will only be available from clubs.

In a statement released this morning, Roscommon GAA admitted that it "is unlikely that Roscommon GAA will get a sufficient allocation of tickets to meet the demand of our supporters" due to the fact that the All-Ireland SFC semi-final between Dublin and Tyrone is a sell-out.

The U17 game will be the first part of a triple-header at GAA headquarters on August 27 which also features the All-Ireland MFC semi-final between Dublin and Derry and the aformentioned senior clash between the Dubs and Tyrone.

"Following the All-Ireland semi-final victory in Ennis on Saturday last, our Under 17 Football team will now contest the All-Ireland Under 17 final which will be played on Sunday August 27, at 12 noon in Croke Park," the statement read.

"As this game is part of the 'sold out' Dublin v Tyrone All Ireland Semi Final Bill it is unlikely that Roscommon GAA will get a sufficient allocation of tickets to meet the demand of our supporters. Therefore, the available tickets for the game will not go on general sale and will be allocated through the clubs in the county.

"Presently, Roscommon GAA cannot confirm that the game will be televised or streamed.  However, we are working to ensure that our supporters get the opportunity to view the game. In addition, the game will be broadcast live on Shannonside FM and live tweeted by Roscommon GAA."
