Kernan stands by manager

Cavan's Fergal Flanagan and Aaron Kernan of Armagh. INPHO
Aaron Kernan has backed Armagh manager Paul Grimley's decision not to change tactics during the defeat to Cavan.
The Orchard County boss has drawn criticism for refusing to adopt a more defensive approach, but experienced half back Kernan claims he was let down by the players for not carrying out what they were instructed to do.
"We knew since January what Paul wanted us to do and we didn't execute it well enough today, that's down to the players," the Crossmaglen clubman said.
"Ideally, you'd play with a sweeper, but we've played a sweeper the last few years and we've been beaten. So this is what we said we'd do at the start of the year and there's no point in changing halfway through."
