Wicklow's Leighton Glynn
Wicklow star Leighton Glynn is bracing himself for a punishing three-game schedule on the weekend after next.

Glynn is expected to be named in the Ireland International Rules squad later today and will be part of the panel for the first Test in Limerick on Saturday, October 23. He'll be in action again the following day in Navan when his club Rathnew take on Skryne in the Leinster club football championship.

And the next day, the Bank Holiday Monday, Glynn will play his third game in as many days for the Glenealy hurlers against St. Mullin's in the Leinster club hurling championship at Dr Cullen Park.

"I'll take each game as it comes," the 28-year-old told The Irish Daily Star.

Glynn insists that there was never of question of him taking a step back from International Rules duty.

"It is an opportunity to play for the country so you are never going to pass that up. Both clubs have been understanding. They know I am involved with the International Rules. They have been great. I have to give as much as I could to the Rules without neglecting the club altogether."
