Four week bans confirmed for Carson and Brosnan
March 12, 2010
The Central Hearings Committee of the GAA has rejected appeals by Fermanagh's Ryan Carson and Ben Brosnan of Wexford against four week suspensions proposed by the CCCC.
Carson was sent off against Antrim last weekend and reported by the referee for 'striking opponent with the Arm.'
The CHC deemed that video evidence supplied by Fermanagh did not sufficiently contradict the contents of the referees' report and imposed a four week suspension.
Ben Brosnan, who scored 1-1 in Wexford's NFL win over Sligo last Sunday, was also sent off and reported for 'striking with the hand'.
Again the CHC deemed the evidence supplied by Wexford was not strong enough to go against he referee's decision.
