Our first championship win since 1983 came this year when we beat Antrim. In that game, five young players made their debut - myself, Paul Brewster, Simon Bradley, Raymond Curran and Damien McCarragher and all played very well TIP FOR THE FUTURE: Armagh's Cathal O'Rourke. An excellent prospect who made his debut against Cork in the opening round of this year's NFL scoring 1-1. He comes from the Drumatee club ARE YOU ENVIOUS OF PLAYERS FROM THE BIGGER COUNTIES SUCH AS MEATH, DOWN OR KERRY? You can only be envious but you have to put up with it unless you do a Tompkins or a Fahy. You just hope that the big breakthrough comes in the near future CAN FERMANAGH BEAT ANTRIM, DONEGAL OR CAVAN IN NEXT YEAR'S ULSTER CHAMPIONSHIP? Without a doubt. With more new players like Sean Breen, Paul Fitzpatrick and Martin McDaid coming through, I think we can go a step further in 1992. But league success has to be our first priority Taken from Hogan Stand magazine 8th November 1991 Vol 1 No 34
