The Late Michael Boyle A popular Brookeboro family who are well known in GAA circles and in the building trade were bereaved as a result of an early morning road traffic accident on the Roslea/Donagh road. Michael Boyle (48), who lied with his wife Marcella and their four young children at Emyvale, County Monaghan - where Mrs Boyle is a native of - was driving his green Hyundai Lantra when it left the road at Killyfoale and ended up in the garden of a house. Michael, who worked in the building trade, was on his way to work in Lisnaskea. He sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to the Erne Hospital where he died. He leaves to mourn his wife, their four children, Dermot, Ryan, Ronan and Eithne and his seven brothers and two sisters. They were the family of the late Peter and Margaret. The family are highly respected and, at one time or another, all the brothers featured on the Brookeboro gaelic football teams, Michael making his mark in the 80s. His surviving brothers and sisters are Jim Joe, kitman with the present county GAA squad under Charlie Mulgrew; Barney, John, Peter, Thomas - the present Fermanagh County Board secretary - Martin and Gerald, Teresa (Michael) McCabe and Kathleen (Gabriel McGovern), Canada. His brother Thomas, speaking to the 'Herald' said Michael had been very active in the Brookeboro club until he moved to Emyvale where, despite family commitments, he continued his interest in his old club.
