Fermanagh defender Ciaran Corrigan believes that their discipline in games has helped them to be in a strong position to gain promotion to FL1.

Last weekend’s win over Clare means that Fermanagh remain unbeaten in the FL2 campaign and they sit in second place behind Meath who are also on eight points but have a better score difference.

The Erne County have two away games remaining; Armagh and Meath. Corrigan told the Fermanagh Herald that keeping all their players on the pitch has been a huge advantage in most of their games.

“You have to work on discipline all the time. You don’t want to lose men in any game, be it to red cards or black cards,” said Corrigan.

“Other teams are losing them and it’s working to our advantage. We’re just focusing on ourselves and ensuring that we don’t have any men going off the field.”
