The current form of Fermanagh footballers has impressed their former county colleague and two-time All-Star Barry Owens.

Two wins from two have seen the Erne County get off to a great start in the league under new manager Rory Gallagher.

Owens told the Fermanagh Herald that the results that the county were producing were satisfying to see even though the performances can improve.

"The performances may not be of the highest standards but put it this way it's a results business and the players have now made it two from two. I would be more worried if the performances were not quite right at the end of the league campaign.

"The games against Wexford and Offaly had to be won and thankfully that's what the team have done."
