Miller lines out for Dubs
December 06, 2006
Former Irish and Lions rugby star Eric Miller lined out for the Dublin development squad in a challenge match against Louth at the St. Brigid's grounds in Blanchardstown on Tuesday night, December 5.
Miller, who featured for his club Ballyboden/St. Enda's in this year's county championship against Kilmacud Crokes, lined out at full forward and managed to get on the scoresheet. Miller's imposing presence would cause problems for most defences and it has even been suggested that he could be tried in a 'Kieran Donaghy' role with the Dubs when the new season gets underway.
Miller brought the curtain down on his rugby career last year after winning 48 caps with Ireland. He returned to the GAA club scene during the summer with Ballyboden/St. Enda's, with whom he won a county under 21 championship medal in the mid-1990s.
