Leinster club Special JHC: More success for Castleknock
November 25, 2013
Castleknock, who were without Ciaran Kilkenny, who flew to Mexico with the Dublin footballers at the weekend, capped off a memorable year for the club with a 2-15 to 1-7 Leinster club Special JHC final win over Mountmellick of Laois.
The Dublin JHC A champions led 0-9 to 1-4 at the interval. Ronan Lynch, Shane Boland, Jamie Tunney and Cian O Dulaing were all on target for the winners in the opening half while a Ray O'Connor goal kept Mountmellick in touch.
Dermot Curran's goal shortly after the break set Castleknock on their way.
A second major in injury-time from Brian Hughes left eleven points between the sides in the end.
