St Kevins Hurling and Camoige Club Set to Launch 5 Year Plan
May 22, 2013
Kevin's Hurling and Camogie Club will launch their five year strategic plan entitled: "Embracing Our Future" which takes place Thursday 23rd May in Griffith College, South Circular Road, at 8pm.
A Steering Committee is now in place and newly appointed chairperson Nickey Brennan (former GAA President) will be in attendance. The club are hoping to get a wide selection of the local community, particularly those who know little about Kevin's, to come along and share in their vision of the future for the club.
The five-year plan intends to develop all areas of club activity by:
Better engagement with the local community and increasing participation from the non-traditional playing base.
Improving the playing standards within the club
Improving the activities and supporting facilities within the club to encourage family participation.
Strengthening the link with our local schools and making the club more accessible to local teachers and students.
Enabling players, volunteers and supporters to increase their participation in club activities.
This launch, which takes place 110 years after Kevin's held its first AGM in June 1903, will set out the plans for the club going forward from 2013 to 2018.
Kevin's have always remained loyal to Dublin's south inner city throughout their long history and we are confident the structures we are putting in place will be to the betterment of the social and sporting life of not just the local area, but Dublin hurling as well.
