Westmeath's Denis Glennon
Westmeath's Denis Glennon has no fear of the Dubs - but admits they're "a serious team".

After their facile victory over Carlow in Mullingar on Sunday, the Lake County are off to Croke Park to face Jim Gavin's side in a Leinster SFC quarter-final on June 1st:

"It's going to be a big step up," the Tyrrellspass clubman is quoted in today's Irish Daily Mirror. "They're a different calibre and they're setting the mark for the last couple of years.

"We're just trying to get up there and, thankfully, with the young lads coming through, we're getting there.

"We've played them a few times and any time we played them outside Croke Park we beat them - in the O'Byrne Cup and in the Division Two final in 2008.

"In the 2008 championship, we came close to beating them. So we're not going to fear them. But at the same time, they're a serious team.

"We've no reason to doubt ourselves at this stage. Derry beat us [in the Division Two final] but we were right in it until the last minute of the game. Playing club championship the week before didn't help - the legs ran our of juice.

"But I don't think we will have the same problem the next time when we go up to Croke Park. We will have two weeks together as a team, something we didn't have before the league final."
