Brogan to miss start of the championship

Dublin's Alan Brogan is injured during the Leinster Final
Jim Gavin is resigned to being without Alan Brogan for Dublin's Leinster SFC quarter-final against either Westmeath or Carlow on June 1.
The oldest of Brogan siblings hasn't played for the Dubs since last year's All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Mayo due to the osteitis pubis injury which plagued him for the past year. On the plus side, Ciaran Kilkenny, Philip Ryan, Pual Hudson, Cormac Costello and Eoghan O'Gara are all close to making a return to action.
"Ciaran Kilkenny was moving very well with Philip Ryan, Paul Hudson and Cormac Costello - they're all coming back on track," the Dublin manager explained.
"Eoghan O'Gara as well, he's doing very well and is quite close. But Alan Brogan would be the only player of the guys who are returning to play who won't be ready for the game in five weeks' time."
