Dublin attacker Kevin Flynn has brought the curtain down on his 15-year inter-county hurling career.

The 34-year-old O'Toole's clubman was handed his senior debut by Jimmy Grey in a National League game against Limerick in October 1995 and went on to make his championship bow against Wexford the following summer.

He captained Dublin a famous Walsh Cup final victory over Kilkenny in 2003 and also won two Division 2 medals. But championship success eluded him with last year's Leinster final appearance against Kilkenny being the closest he came to winning a championship medal.

A web designer by profession, Flynn won four Dublin SHC medals with O'Toole's in 1995, '96, '97 and 2002. The pacy attacker also represented Leinster in the Railway Cup and played under seven different managers during a lengthy career with the Dubs. Tweet
