Na Fianna
To help get everyone over the disappointment of the defeat of Sunday - there's loads of good news from around the club in this weeks Nuacht - from newly crowned All Ireland Champions to World record breaking supermen, Paul Kenny interviewed in Arabic, a clutch of handball titles and a chance for a moment for us in the sun!

Clontarf
Commiserations to the Dublin footballers on their narrow defeat to Cork in the All-Ireland semi final. You did your city proud, and you'll be back. Well done to our three members of the Dublin U16 Ladies team who beat Kerry to bring the All-Ireland title back to the capital for a third time. Congratulations to our U14 hurlers on a magnificent first ever victory over St Vincent's. Club nursery begins this Saturday at 9.30am with registration at St Paul's. St Brigids
Another historic day for the club when Deidre Murphy lifted the All-Ireland U16 Ladies Football Trophy in a cracking victory over Kerry. Congrats to players Deidre Murphy, Sophie Freeman, Sarah Hawkshaw and mentors Ken & Judy Murphy. Well done to the Junior Camogie team who reached the Junior A Final defeating Whitehall. Final vs Plunketts this Sat in Clonshaugh with time TBC. Hard luck to the Senior Camogie on their Champo Semi-Final defeat. Well done to Eoin Kennedy & Egin Jenson who advanced to the All-Ireland 60*30 Doubles Semi-Finals. Best of luck to Eoin this Sat in All-Ireland Singles Semi-Final vs. Gavin Buggy. Hard luck to Barry Cahill, Paddy Andrews, Kevin Bonner & Dublin on their Semi-Final loss to Cork. Hard luck to Aodhan McEnerney & Daire Plunkett on their Semi-Final loss to Galway. A big week of football Champo ahead with 5 of our 6 adult teams still in contention. Our Senior 2 Footballers face Good Counsel on Fri in Kiltipper Rd at 7.30pm. Seniors face St Annes at 6pm St Finian's Newcastle. Junior C's face Wild Geese in Oldtown on Sun at 10.30. Inter & Junior B Footballers face St Monica's & Parnells in their Champo Semi-Finals at 4.30pm & 6pm in Balgriffin on Sun. Big support needed for all games. Club Lotto is currently on its summer break until Sept 2nd.

Castleknock
It was a great week for our hurlers both young & old. Our adult A hurlers had two great Championship wins over Na Fianna & Ballyboden and the adult B hurlers qualified for the semi final of the Championship with victory over Lucan. Our Under11 hurlers won their Camaint semi final & final in Parnell Park and our Under 14 hurlers took part in a great under 14 hurling tournament hosted by Loughgiel Shamrocks of Antrim. Many thanks to Loughgiel and Declan McFadden for their hospitality.
Well done to the Dublin U16 Girls and particularly Castleknocks Sinead Comerford on winning the All Ireland with victory over Kerry. Hard luck to the Dublin Senior football team who played with great pride and passion.
Well done to all who participated in our last Summer Camp and many thanks to all who helped out during the week. All our teams are starting back training and new players of all ages are very welcome to Give Castleknock GAA a Go. Erin go Bragh
Erin go Bragh v Cuala, U14 Camogie 2nd place play off is on Tuesday 31st August at 6.30pm.  Venue is the Camogie Grounds, Phoenix Park.  Please come out and support your local team.  Our junior hurlers are into the quarter final of the championship which will take place on September 5th.  More information to follow.  The Annual Golf Classic 2010 will be held this Friday 27th August in Elm Green Golf course. Great championship win for Jnr 'A'Hurlers on Saturday. Good Luck to SF who play Raheny in Championship on Thursday 26th in Newcastle @ 19.30, and to Inter Footballers who play Cuala in championship in O Toole pk on Sunday 29th @ 10.30. Good luck also to Inter Camogie team in championship final next Saturday against Trinity Gaels. Calling all golfers in club. Lucan Sarsfields Golf Society Captains Day (Michael O Grady) is Saturday 28th August in Castleknock GC 1pm to 3pm. Contact any committee member to get on timesheet. New members always made very welcome. Next weekend sees Eoin O Conghaile play for Dublin's U14's in Tony Forestial tournament. Conor Cuggy and Sean McClelland play in Arrabawn tournament for Dublin U16H. Good luck to all the Lucan lads and hope they play well. Premium Ticket Draw entries are still available from Paul McGann. Congratulations to Oonagh and Grainne who defeated Kerry with the Dublin U16s in the All-Ireland Final on Saturday. Well done girls the whole club is proud of you. Intermediates play Crumlin in the championship in Balgriffin on Friday at 8.15pm. All support appreciated.

Outdoor Bingo will be held Sunday 12th September. 4000 euros in prizes on the day. Bingo starts at 3:30pm. All Welcome.
Music and set dancing classes are starting back in O'Dwyers GAA Clubhouse, Bremore, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin week beginning Monday 6th September 2010.
Monday nights - Juvenile set dancing 7.30pm - 8.15pm. Adult set dancing 8.15pm - 10pm. Tin whistle and fiddles classes - days and times to be finalised.

Junior hurlers beat O'Tooles in the Junior A Championship and are now in the quarter final draw.   
All Qualifying Members who wish to be included in a draw for tickets for the All Ireland Hurling Final, Tipp v  Kilkenny please leave you name at the bar prior to Thursday 2nd Sept.
Congratulations to Ann Marie Tornsey who won a silver medal at the National Community Games in the Shot Putt.
