The late Liam McInerney
Mr Liam McInerney of Slievenamaddy Avenue, Newcastle, passed away peacefully at home on 3rd October following a long illness.
Aged 67 and a retired construction manager, Mr McInerney is survived b y his wife Rose, sons Brendan and Dominic, daughters Catherine, Bronagh and Deirdre, daughter-in-law Catherine and Thérése; son-in-law Philip, grandchildren Dermot, Tomás and Mathieu also brother Tony and sisters Elsie and Mary.
Born in County Tipperary, he was a keen golfer. He was also a former hurler, representing his county, Tipperary, at the sport.
Mr McInerney was a quiet and unassuming family man, a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was an avid reader and took a keen interest in all sport.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
The funeral service on 5 October at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Newcastle was followed by interment at Bryansford Cemetery.
Father Albert Mcnally officiated.
