U18 Football An Riocht 1-17 Glenn 1-8
An Riocht minors were good value for this win and were always in control. They led 0-8 to 0-2 before conceding a late goal which flattered the visitors at the break, 0-9 to 1-2 in arrears. Some of the home sides play both in defence and in attack was top quality. Glenn fired over a couple of points on the restart but they were answered three fold and when Michael O'Rourke claimed the home sides goal An Riocht then led by ten. Mark Higgins who took one off the line, Declan Clarke and Stephen McDowell stood out in defence while John Sands had a great hour in attack but it was overall a fine team performance which yielded the league points for the home side.

U16 Football An Riocht 2-8 St Pauls 2-6
An Riocht overcame much bigger opposition amid a horrible hail shower to win this close encounter at Dunavil on Saturday afternoon. An Riocht were without Jack Rafferty (who scored 3 goals in Bryansford last week) who was playing hurling for Down but opted to go ahead with the match and were rewarded with victory.
An Riocht led three nil and were well in control before a harsh penalty award given against goalie Thomas Sloan for leading with his feet, resulted in a St Pauls goal and the visitors went on to impose themselves on the play adding a further 1-4 before the break to lead 2-4 to 0-3.
An Riocht used the interval to regroup and Conor Small gave them a great restart with a goal and they added three points to trail by the minimum at the three quarter stage.
The visitors then enjoyed another bout of dominance and stretched their lead to three points.
Darragh Campbell pulled one back but a goal was required and when full back Conor Clarke switched to the midfield area he was able to influence the play and soloed through for a cracking goal to restore An Rocht's lead. Aidan Sloan tagged on a point and left St Pauls needing a goal but there was no way through for the visitors.
