The Late Vincent Devlin

Mr Vincent Devlin (Frostie) of Cloncool Crescent, Kilcoo, passed away on 24 August.

Vincent, known to many as Frostie, was a great supporter of Kilcoo GAC. He was always there for a bit of crack after every match and he was delighted when they won the championship last year.

He also was a big fan of Down following them everywhere they went. He liked a bit of banter about football in Frankie's Castlewellan, at the weekends. Vincent would have took it upon himself to raise a few pounds for charities at various times by getting his head shaved. He enjoyed calling in the neighbours' houses for a chat and the talk was always about football.

Vincent was a very well known and like person, as was evident by the large attendance at his wake and funeral which took place in St Malachy's Church, Kilcoo. The Mass was celebrated by Rev Fr D McKinlay PP, assisted by Fr Dagens and Fr Kane PP, and interment took place in the adjoining cemetery.
