* The U16 footballers beat Bosco in Newry by 1-11 to 1-2 to win the 'B' league. Kevin Sloan and Declan Clarke were very good in defence while Brian Rodgers and John Paul Farrell excelled in attack.
* Thanks to McVeigh VIVO and AV Coaches for sponsoring towards kitbags for the U14 & U16 football finals and to the various families, individuals and businesses who contributed to the teams finals fund.
* Sixteen teams took part in the first ever Recreational & Social Football Seven-A-Sides in County Down held at Dunavil and a huge crowd turned up to cheer them on. Warrenpoint just piped Clonduff in the 'A' Final and Drumgath beat Mitchels in the 'B' Final. Thanks to everyone who helped in any way to make the event a resounding success.
* The Sharon Morgan Cup, U16 seven-a-side camogie tournament was postponed due to the U16 Camogie Championship finishing a draw and the replay being scheduled for Sunday.
* The U14 footballers beat Glenn at Dunavil to set up a playoff with Ballyholland for the 'B' league.
* In the U16 Camogie Championship final at Kilclief An Riocht drew with Portaferry 6-1 to 3-10. The Ports raced into a two nil lead before An Riocht's Orla McAlinden caught them cold with two cracking goals in as many minutes. The Ards girls responded with a Niamh Mallon goal and several points to go back in front but up popped Sarah Carvill with An Riocht's third goal and the teams were level again. A second net buster from Sarah put An Riocht 4-0 to 1-8 back in front by the break. Niamh Mallon's second goal for Portaferry was soon followed by Orla McAlinden's hat trick score and Nicole Kelly with An Riocht's solitary point. When Ursula Toner's free left the minimum between the teams, Sarah Carvill goaled at the other end and An Riocht led 6-1 to 2-9 with ten minutes to go. Despite the best efforts of Tara Bowater and Orla Doyle in An Riocht's defence, Marie Fitzsimons got through for a Portaferry goal and deep into added time Ports fired over a point to force a draw.
* An member seeking an All Ireland ticket needs to complete an application form and return it before Saturday.
