* In the Senior Reserve Football league v Clonduff at Dunavil, An Riocht finished with a five point advantage, 2-9 to 1-10. The teams were level at two points each when Kieran McVeigh finished a good move to the net and that goal separated them at half time also, 1-4 to 0-4. Though Kieran McVeigh kicked the first point of the second half, Clonduff enjoyed the better of the exchanges and from frees narrowed the gap back to two and but for some bad finishing could have hit the front. Then somewhat against the run of play An Riocht grabbed a second goal when a long range shot from Darren Doyle dropped off the post and Stephen Flanagan smuggled the ball out to Rory Cunningham who shot to the net. Further points were added by Conor Cole and Noel McArdle and suddenly An Riocht were seven clear. A late goal and point from the visitors gave the final score line a somewhat flattering look.Team G Finnegan, C McVeigh, M Clarke, L Harper, P Sherry, J Clarke, S McArdle, A Cunningham, D Doyle 0-1, C Cole 0-1, N McArdle 0-2, R Cunningham 1-2, M Spiers, S Flanagan, K McVeigh 1-3. Subs C Doyle, R Annett, F Doyle, C Cunningham, S Corr.
* In the Senior Football league v Burren at Dunavil on Sunday, An Riocht came from eight points down to win by a point after a storming final fifteen minutes, 2-9 to 2-8, and make it three league points from four taken from the league leaders. It was not looking good after twenty minutes when Gerard McCartan converted a penalty for his second goal after earlier finishing a good move to the net. Frees from Chris Killen and Noel McArdle barely kept An Riocht in touch, 0-4 to 2-3, at the break and when Burren scored the first three points on the restart and three good long range scores at that, An Riocht trailed by eight, 2-6 to 0-4. A couple of Chris Killen frees suggested respectability on the scoreboard but the home ambitions soared in the forty seventh minute when Deaglan O'Reilly's long punt was knocked down by Paddy Cole and Liam Harper blasted to the net. Substitute Donal O'Hare replied for Burren but An Riocht would not be denied and in the fiftieth minute Harper turned provider for the rampaging Aidan Cunningham to fire in a second home goal and with Killen adding a fine score from play the teams were level. Burren were not going to let their unbeaten record go without a fight and Murdock pointed a free to restore their lead. However the final two scores fell to Killen and Cole and though Burren had chances to equalize, the home defence stood firm and took the spoils. Team G Finnegan; P Allen, A Cunningham 1-0, D O'Reilly; J McVeigh, L McVeigh, F Doyle; J Colgan, P Murney; P Cole 0-1, P Gartland, J Cunningham; N McArdle 0-2, C Killen 0-6, K McVeigh. Subs Jim Clarke, L Harper 1-0, D Doyle.
* In a most entertaining U14 Football match An Riocht beat Ballyholland by 3-9 to 1-14 to reach the Championship final. An Riocht were always in front during the first quarter until a Harps goal gave them a 1-3 to 0-3 advantage which stretched to 1-7 to 0-4 just before the break. Then Stephen Flood latched onto a long ball from Kevin Doran and netted from close range to give An Riocht renewed hope at 1-4 to 1-7. Darragh Campbell scored four points on the restart to Harps one to tie it up at 1-8 apiece with a quarter hour still to play. Though the visitors pointed a free to go back in front Stephen Flood popped up with a second goal after good play from Michael O'Rourke and Ronan White. Another Harps' free left the minimum between the teams and a great block by Nathan McComiskey and a super save from Stephen Doran prevented the visitors going in front again. With six minutes remaining Darragh Campbell volleyed a Michael O'Rourke pass off the underside of the bar to the net and wing back Ben Rafferty collected the kick out and lofted over a mighty point to put An Riocht five clear. There were six added minutes and they were played in the An Riocht half but though Ballyholland pulled back four points they could not manage the equalizer and An Riocht held out for a famous victory. Team S Doran; A Harper, K Colgan, K Doran; B Rafferty 0-1, S McDowell, A Sloan; JP Farrell 0-1, N McComiskey; D Morgan, J Walker 0-1, R White; S Flood 2-0, M O'Rourke, D Campbell 1-6. Subs T Sloan, M Harper, J Rafferty, S Cunningham, L Rodgers.

* In the Intermediate Camogie final, An Riocht had one of those days when nothing went right and were well beaten by Ballyholland who were much the better team on the day. Only Joanna Sloan, Maria Higgins, Aine O'Reilly and Carrie Killen played to the best of their abilities. Team J Sloan, M Trainor, L Rodgers, A Clarke, C Killen, C Fearon, M Higgins, A O'Reilly, C Cunningham, L Hughes 0-2, N Mulhern, C Killen 0-1, L Clarke, S Colgan 0-2, N Fearon.
