GAA goalkeepers Rory Beggan and Charlie Smyth have signed with a US-based sports agency after taking part in an NFL Combine in Indianapolis last week.

The pair, along with former Connacht Rugby player Darragh Leader, have signed with Paul Sheehy at Pro Star Sports in anticipation of being offered NFL contracts. Wicklow ‘keeper Mark Jackson also took part in the Combine, but there was no mention of him in Sheehy’s social media post confirming the other three signatures.

Sheehy, who is a NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor, also confirmed that the three kickers would be given another opportunity to impress NFL scouts at a ‘pro day’ on March 20.
