Tuesday 22nd 11am Ladies Chair Yoga; 6pm Irish Dancing; 6.45pm Ulster GAA Club Officer Training at St Pauls Bessbrook; 7pm KYC Annual General Meeting to elect a KYC Board whose duty will be to safeguard the interests of the members by ensuring that Governance, Premises, Finances & Leadership are fit for purpose. That means that the youth club is run in accordance with our constitution; that we have all the necessary licenses and insurances in place to ensure the safety of our members; that we budget and run our affairs in a proper manner; and that our leaders who should be role models are role models. Wednesday 23rd 11am Men’s Shed; Grange Afterschool; 7pm / 9pm ‘Youth Culture & Me’ is a project that will touch upon issues such as discrimination, bullying, identity and the LGBT community. The P7+ group will also complete an OCN qualification & a 2-night residential; 7.30pm Aged 15+ Indoor Camogie Training; Senior Football Cardio.

Thursday 24th 6pm Ladies Keep Fit; 6.30pm / 8.30pm aged 4 to 7 years boys/girls; 7pm / 9pm Girls Night for aged 8 to11; An Ríocht floodlights will be on from 7pm to 9pm as Ireland Lights Up, drop in whatever time suits and walk in a safe & well-lit area, all are welcome; 7pm u12 indoor Gaelic; 8pm u16 Indoor Gaelic.

Friday 25th 11am Men’s Shed; 2pm St Colmans Afterschool; 5.30pm u10 Indoor Gaelic; Drop-in Night 6.30pm / 8pm for Primary School age & 8pm / 9.30pm for High School age; avail of our new games zone, music room and sports hall or just chat or hang out; Foundation Coaching course for all those coaching Camogie in An Riocht; Senior Football Strength & Conditioning

Tuesday 29th 8.30am Men’s Shed trip to Derry; 6pm Irish Dancing; 6.30pm Basic First Aid at KYC, see Joseph to book your place.

 

Down GAA Draw tickets are on sale, this is our main fundraiser so please support, its £2.50 a week. 

 

The Kick Boxing went down a treat, its not too late to join in, Mondays at 7pm.

 

St Colmans PS enjoyed a Movie Matinee at the Kingdom Cinema during the week.

 

The POINTER information meeting attracted a small but enthusiastic attendance, contact Jennifer for an update.

 

There was a good cross section of club people at the MindFit mental health awareness workshop at Dunavil; also, Camogie Coaching Officer Rosanne participated in the State of Mind, mental health awareness webinar promoted by Sported.

 

Rosanne, Teresa, Danielle, Andrea and Lisa attended the Ground to Air Camogie Coaching course in Castlewellan.

 

Paula and Aine attended the Camogie County Board meeting in Castlewellan.

 

47 people, not all club members, participated in the first ‘Ireland Lights Up’ walk around the grounds at Dunavil on Thursday; it’s on for the next five weeks so come out between 7pm and 9pm and walk as little or as much as you want, thanks to Julie for the tea and coffee after the walk.

 

St Colmans Afterschool has started back, this term its based at the school.

 

James, Jim and Stephen attended the GAA Coaching course at Darver on Saturday.

 

There was a good turnout for the An Ríocht Registration Day on Saturday; its two months now since the AGM and no one can play or train until a payment has been made.

 

Winner of Week 24 (green) Home Bingo £200 Full House was Patricia Cunningham, Week 25 (blue) bingos on sale now.
