Glasdrumman Club Notes

Friday 13th didn't turn out to be unlucky for Glasdrumman's Senior team 's  first away fixture of the new season . In a closely contested encounter the visitors came away  from Ardtole in Ardglass with  a three point victory edging out the home team with  a final score of Ardglass 3-7  Glasdrumman  2-13.  Tús maith, leath na hoibre  a good start is half the battle. 

 

The next u-12 game is an away fixture against St Michaels on Sunday 22nd April.  Details of travel arrangements will be given at training which continues at Glasdrumman Primary School from 7pm until 8pm on Wednesday evening.

 

U-14 training will be at St Marys primary school Glasdrumman on Wednesday evening from 7.30 until 8.30.

 

 The Éire Óg u-12s played on Sunday and despite some good football they narrowly lost the game. This is a very young side who give their all every game so despite the results not going in their favour they are showing good signs of improvement every week and the coaches are proud of the effort they put in! 

The Éire Óg u-14s had no game on Monday last their next game is away to Glenn a Derg on Monday 23rd April. Details of travel arrangements will be given at training.

 

The Éire Óg u-16s travelled to Drumgath on Thursday and came away with an emphatic win. Well done boys. Their next game is at home on Thursday 19th April with a 7pm throw in. Players are to be at the Quarter Road at 6.15 sharp. 

 

The Éire Óg minors played away on Tuesday night and came away with a good win against Bosco. Next game is on Tuesday 17th at Pat's Road with a 7pm throw in. 

 

 

 

Coaching Development: A Mentors & Coaches Meeting will take place on Monday 16th April at 7.30pm. All our coaches and mentors and anyone else looking to help with coaching in our club at any level are requested to attend. 

GoGames (U6/8/10 Grades) : We continue to have a great turnout of young footballers at GoGames Coaching on Sunday mornings at the Primary School Pitch. Anyone with younger children looking to get them involved simply contact any committee member or contact the club via Facebook or Twitter.
