The U14 footballers received their new jerseys sponsored by DR Diesel before the game with Shamrocks which the Newry side won 4-16 to 3-10

The U16 Camogs bounced back from an opening defeat to Clonduff with a 3-8 to 1-3 win in Ballyholland.

The Minor Footballers lost in Drumgath by 3-15 to 3-9. Team: Curtis Flanagan, John Joe Eakins, Ryan Mackey, Philip Curran, Jack Rodgers, Caomhan Campbell, Chris Flanagan, Cormac Clarke, Reece Flanagan, Eoin Sloan, Michael Greenan. Subs: William Harper, Joel Cunningham, Cameron Harper.

The U16 Footballers won by four in Saval 1-14 to 2-7.

The Senior Footballers lost in Rostrevor 1-12 to 0-11 and against Burren 1-16 to 1-11.

At Petitt Park a slow start eventually cost us as we never got back on level terms once seven one behind with only a quarter hour played; a few times we had it down to the minimum margin but were unable to score that elusive equaliser. Only Noel McArdle of the starting front six scored and therein lies our problem, frees apart we are simply not scoring enough. It was close until the finish when we had a goal bound shot deflected and they went up the other end and converted a penalty.

At Dunavil on Sunday, Burren were there for the taking but again goal chances not taken in either half and just two points from play from the eight forwards left it very difficult to get something from the match. The defence is doing enough we just need to see some cut and thrust further up the field and the break through will happen.

The U12 Camogs played in the county blitz enjoying games with Drumaness, Kilcoo and Ballygalget. Team: Emma Louise Harper, Mya Cousins, Nicole Curran, Zoe Gannon, Cora Kearney, Anna Quinn, Mya Campbell, Olivia Fegan, Cliona Finnegan, Caoimhe Grant, Annie McAleenan, Aoife Rooney, Molly Sloan, Ella Small and Annalise White. Special mention to Nicole Curran who was outstanding in nets.

The U12 Footballers lost in Shamrocks 5-9 to 1-5.

The Men's Shed held a First Aid course at Dunavil on Friday with the Red Cross.

The Reserve Football League gets underway on Sunday when Shamrocks visit Dunavil, anyone looking to play must have their membership /insurance paid in full at least three days before the match so that's Wednesday at practice at the latest, there will be no exceptions.
