Red Hughs Clubnotes 17/07/2017

Senior Men

Red Hugh's had a fantastic 1:13 to 1:09 win over Naomh Muire on Thursday night in the league at home. The boy's put on a brilliant display of attacking football along with some manful defending. Red Hugh's were infront the whole way through the first half going in three points up at the break. Naomh Muire were awarded a penalty halfway through the second half to level the score but the this young Red Hugh's side didn't panic controlling the remainder of the game maturely picking off there scores. They were helped in the last five minutes when a Naomh Muire player was sent off for second yellow. This was brilliant team performance tonight with Red Hugh's playing some exceptional football including the goal which was started in the full backline by Stephen McMenamin and finished by him at the other end of the pitch. This team really starting to pickup momentum and hopefully they can carry it through to there next game against Moville away this Sunday.

U16 Girls

The Girls were away to Glenties last Tuesday night, first half of the game girls showed some great display of football. They were in control of game, but were  just very unfortunate to not have converted more scores.  This was first time few of these girls played together, but should be happy with their performance

U10 Tournament

19 players made the journey to Truagh Gaels to play in the John Treanor Memorial Cup. 32 U-10 teams from all over Ulster took part. Our young team played some excellent football going out at the quarter final stage to Scotstown GAA. All the boys and girls should be very proud of their performances. Some excellent skills on display. Thanks to all the coaches for the help.

U16 Boy's

Well done to our u16 boys who win their league semi final last Wednesday evening against a good St.Michaels team. The boys had to battle hard for the entire game and just pulled away in the final 7 minutes. Some great performances throughout the team.   The boys can now look forward to preparing for the final. Date tbc. Thanks to all the support
