Super-sub Ross Wherity says Donegal are focused on completing a three-in-a-row of Ulster SFC titles for the first time in their history.

The St. Eunan's clubman marked his championship debut with Donegal's crucial second goal as they rolled over Tyrone to set up a provincial semi-final meeting with either Derry or Down.

"It has been the talk since I've come into the camp anyway that we would try to get the elusive three in-a-row," he is quoted as saying in the Irish News.

"That's something to look forward to now, looking onwards, but I'm sure Jim (McGuinness) and the boys will settle us back down and we won't be looking past the next round.

"We need to get back down to training on Tuesday night, get tuned in for that, and I'm sure Jim will have us well prepared."

Reflecting on his first taste of championship action, Wherity said: "I'm definitely delighted, coming in for my first championship appearance, first touch (for the goal), I couldn't have asked for more.

"I'm happy to have got on the team, I've worked hard for the last six months and took my chance we it came." Tweet
