Eamon McGee says Donegal have to forget about the league and move on.

The All-Ireland champions were relegated to Division Two when they failed to beat Dublin in Ballybofey on Sunday and Gaoth Dobhair clubman McGee - who stood in for injured brother Neil at full back - says it's time to focus on the May 26th Ulster opener against Tyrone at the same venue:

"We just did not put Dublin away and we did have plenty of chances," the All Star defender comments in The Irish News.

"I thought we were just not clinical enough in front of the posts. If Ross Wherity's shot for goal had gone in towards the end... That was a pretty crucial period.

"We led for most of the game and I thought we would hold out."

Regarding the moment Donegal thought they had won a potentially match-changing penalty when Rory Kavanagh appeared to be fouled near the end, McGee adds:

"It was a penalty alright but you have to take it on the chin. Some days you get those decisions and some days you don't - but you just carry on.

"We will now have to play in Division Two but our main focus has always been on Tyrone. I thought we played very well for periods and showed what we are capable of and I was happy with our overall display."
