It was time to sort out the wheat from the chaff in the 2013 national football league.
All 32 teams were in action today as the round-robin stage concluded with 16 matches - four in each division.
A number of key issues were resolved this afternoon / evening. Who would join Dublin, Tyrone and Kildare in the Division One semi-finals? Cork were in pole position but Mayo and Donegal were both still in the picture. Could Kerry see off relegation?
In Division Two, Westmeath were already up, but could Derry join them or would Laois pip them at the post? Longford had been relegated - would they bring Louth with them or would Armagh go down? Or Wexford?
There was a winner-takes-all game at Navan in Division Three, where either Fermanagh or Meath would win promotion. Monaghan would join them if they beat relegation-threatened Antrim at Clones. Cavan and Roscommon were hoping to exploit any slip-up. Wicklow really had their work cut out to avoid relegation to the bottom tier.
Clare V Limerick and Offaly V Tipperary would determine the promotion places from Division Four.
