Live to Play  Launch
•       22nd September @ 7.30pm, Jacksons Hotel, Ballybofey.
• A mistake on the pitch might cost you the game.
A mistake on the road can cost you your life.'
As you may be aware, Ulster GAA has initiated a Road Safety Initiative, Live to Play, which is a campaign to educate GAA members on road safety matters and the dangers associated with irresponsible driving, etc.

The campaign was launched at the final of the Barrett Lighting Dr McKenna Cup Final, between Donegal and Tyrone at the beginning of the year, and has already been launched in Fermanagh and Tyrone, where it proved to be a huge success, as the reaction in them two counties has been very positive.

The specially commissioned Live to Play  jersey uses the traditional Ulster colours of black and amber, but the design has been amended to include a black stripe across the chest - promoting the concept of wearing a seatbelt. One of a number of road safety messages which will be endorsed throughout the Campaign.
Ulster GAA Road Safety Campaign is being promoted online on Facebook (www.facebook.com/ulster.gaa) and You Tube (www.youtube.com/UlsterGAA) in an effort to communicate this message to a
young audience.

This Road Safety Initiative will be launched officially in here in Donegal on Wednesday 22nd September,  in Jacksons Hotel, at 7.30pm.

Present will be Aileen Tohill, Ulster GAA Wellbeing & Lifestyle Manager, Senior Ulster GAA Officials, members of An Garda Síochána Traffic Corps, members of the Road Safety Authority and the Emergency Services.

Following the launch on the 22nd September, it is planned to host regional workshops for club officers, managers, mentors and players, with  a special emphasis on the younger players. Details to follow shortly.

We ask  all clubs to ensure that your club officers, mentors and managers attend the launch of this hugely important initiative on the 22nd.  As one of the biggest organisations in the country,  we hope that our grassroot members, the bedrock of our Association, can deliver the message to our younger members  on the importance of road safety, by firstly attending the launch and then arranging club members to attend your local/regional workshop.

Heroes of the Match'  from 2005 to 2010
As proud sponsors of the Cadbury GAA Football U21 Championship, Cadbury are asking GAA supporters from all across Ireland to vote for the best 15 players at U21 grade from 2005-2010. To make the choice easier, Cadbury have listed all of the Cadbury 'Heroes of the Match' from 2005 to 2010 on their dedicated football website www.cadburygaau21.com. Donegal fans are encouraged to support county stars Michael Murphy and Leo McLoone who are both included on the list

Commenting on the Cadbury 15, Shane Guest of Cadbury Ireland said; "This is Cadbury Ireland's sixth year as sponsor of the Cadbury GAA Football U21 Championship and we are delighted to be on board. To celebrate our six year involvement, we are happy to promote the Cadbury 15 selection and honour who the public believe to be the best 15 U21 players since the beginning of our sponsorship"
To help fans we have provided lists of the Cadbury 'Heroes of the Match' for 2005 -  2010 on our website www.cadburygaau21.com. A 'Cadbury Hero of the Match' Award is presented to 15 players each year, selected based on their performance, from the provincial semi-finals stage through to the All-Ireland final, after which one player is chosen as the Cadbury Hero of the Future for that year. The public can also propose any player from outside this list as long as they have represented their county at U21 level between 2005 and 2010.http://www.cadburygaau21.com/cadbury-15.php
Voting closes on Senior Football All-Ireland final day, the 19th of September 2010. The 15 players who receive the most votes and make the cut will make the Cadbury 15
