Naomh Pádraig  2-06
Red Hugh's  1-09

Naomh Pádraig Seniors returned to Killygordon on Saturday evening to take on Red Hugh's after the postponement of last week's second leg.  The hosts started the game brightly and hit the first point of the game however Naomh Pádraig responded perfectly when a free from wide on the right dropped short and the break was gathered by midfielder Charlie Molloy who drilled the ball low to the net for Muff's opening score.  However Red Hugh's responded well themselves and soon levelled the game with a well-taken goal of their own.  The hosts then went ahead with a series of free kicks and some fine points from play to give them a seven-point lead. However Naomh Pádraig battled back to stay in touch through points from Dermot Keaveney and Mark Duffy and a late free by Declan McLaughlin made it Red Hugh's 1-07 Naomh Pádraig 1-03 at the break.  Naomh Pádraig came out fighting at the start of the second half however were unable to make much headway on the scoreboard due to poor passing and shooting.  With the game being played at a frantic pace and with players battling for possession, scores were to become sparse and hard earned.  Mark Duffy brought Muff back into the game with two excellent points from wide on the left.  As the game moved into the final stages, Red Hugh's responded with 2 points in a row and looked to be heading for victory however Naomh Pádraig dug deep and a flowing move down the left ended with the ball being played to full forward Aidan Lynch who had evaded his marker and he made no mistake with a low shot to the corner of the net to make it a one-point game. The momentum was with Naomh Pádraig who pushed forward for the equalising score. However the Red Hugh's defence held firm and restricted Muff to two long range efforts which both drifted wide.  With seconds remaining a high ball towards the Red Hugh's square was fielded by Colm McColgan who fed the onrushing Charlie Molloy who was in turn brought to the ground to give Naomh Pádraig a penalty.  Full forward Aidan Lynch duly blasted the penalty over the bar to give Naomh Pádraig a draw and set up a Quarter Final clash with Convoy.  Final Score Red Hugh's 1-09 Naomh Pádraig 2-06.

McGlynns Restaurant Division 2
MALIN      0-13
BUNCRANA    0-12
Malin got their promotion ambitions back on track with a narrow win in a very exciting game with Inishowen neighbours Buncrana in Malin on Saturday evening. Games between these sides are never dull affairs and this one did not buck that trend, a full blooded hard but fair encounter with never more than 3 points between the sides throughout, Malin weathering a second half storm of sorts by Buncrana before winning by the narrowest of margins.
Buncrana were first off the mark when Adrian Doherty forced a smart save from Declan Lafferty, William McLaughlin first to the rebound to clip the ball over the bar in the opening minute. Unfortunately for Buncrana, this was the only time in the game that they would hold the lead as Malin hit two in quick succession, through Declan Walsh and Damian Ward, and had most of the possession in the opening quarter but put a number of efforts wide before finding themselves back on level terms after 12 minutes, David Bell making it two scores from two efforts for Buncrana. Malin then took a two point lead before the first of six Oran Doherty frees drew Buncrana back to within a point before a fine individual effort from Paddy McColgan, who beat a number of defenders before splitting the posts, sent Malin two in front once again. Anthony Kelly hit 3 frees before half time for Malin but Oran Doherty(2 frees) and Ronan Doherty kept Buncrana in contention, the sides going in at half time Malin 0-08, Buncrana 0-06.
Malin opened the second half scoring with a third Anthony Kelly free but Buncrana, with the breeze at their backs, began to get the upper hand around midfield with Steven McGonigle in particular very influential, and they began to reduce the deficit, Oran Doherty hitting his fourth free of the game before Adrian Doherty, who was busy throughout, brought Buncrana to within one point. Gary Farren hit a couple of valuable scores either side of Doherty's only score from play to give Malin breathing space midway through the half but Buncrana continued to drive forward and they drew level with 11 minutes left, Christopher McDermott hitting the equalising score after a fifth Doherty free had brought Buncrana back to within a single point for the sixth time in the game. At this stage it seemed most likely that Buncrana would go on to win the game but Malin picked themselves up manfully for the last 10 minutes, Darren Doherty clipping over a nice score to put his side ahead once again before Anthony Kelly kept his composure to knock over his fifth free of the game from a tight angle with five left. Oran Doherty converted another Buncrana free to keep the tension levels high but Malin held their nerve as time ebbed away and indeed might have added further scores. Declan Walsh and Paul McLaughlin both having late efforts go narrowly wide.
This result keeps Malin in contention at the top of the table while Buncrana, if they put in this effort in their remaining games, may well get the results required to get off the bottom spot in the division.

Division 2 Reserve
Malin Reserves     5-11
Buncrana Reserves   0-05
Malin reserves cruised to victory over Buncrana on Saturday but, in fairness to Buncrana, they were caught napping early in the game and found themselves 3-00 to a point behind in the first 10 minutes which effectively ended the game as a contest. Goals from Daniel McDaid(2, 1 penalty) and Finbarr Collins helped Malin to  a 3-06 to 0-02 half time lead and they could afford the luxury of Daniel McDaid having a second half penalty saved, Martin Ward and Niall McLaughlin also finding the net in the second half. Scorers for Malin were Finbarr Collins(1-04( from wing back no less!)) Daniel McDaid(2-00), Eddie Kelly(0-3), Gerard Greene(0-2), Martin Ward(1-0), Niall McLaughlin(1-0), Danny Lafferty, Kieran McColgan.

Malin   1-07
Glenswilly   0-08
Malin did just about enough to progress to the next round of the Junior B championship by beating Glenswilly by 2 points in Malin on Sunday. A low scoring first half saw Malin behind by 0-3 to 0-2 at half time but a second half goal from Brendan McLaughlin(F), who finished the game with 1-04 to his credit, set them up for the win. The U-14 side were beaten by Glenswilly on Monday evening by a score-line of 2-11 to 3-07. Three first half goals from Malin had them ahead at the break by 3-01 to 1-05 but they were unable to build on this in the second half and were outscored by the visitors, the loss of John Collins to injury at half time not helping their cause and the club hope both John and Peter Doherty, who picked up a chest injury in the same game, make speedy recoveries. Scorers for Malin; John Collins(1-01), Christopher McLaughlin(1-0), Johnny McLaughlin(1-0), Danny McCarron, Eamon Hegarty and Christopher Doherty.
