Letterkenny Gaels GAA Club Notes.

This Saturday our Senior footballers are in action when they welcome Na Rossa to Páirc na nGael for the first round of the Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure Junior A Football Championship. Throw in is 7pm. 
All support welcome.
Our reserve footballers had a victory over Robert Emmetts last weekend and will now contest the Junior B Championship with their first game away to Robert Emmetts on Sunday afternoon.

Well done to our U-14 footballers who had a good away win over Downings in the Championship last Friday night. The lads are at home this Friday night to St. Eunans.

Girls U-13s training continues every Wednesday from 6pm to 7.15pm and Saturday from 4pm to 5.15pm. All welcome.

We will be holding a weekend Camogie Camp during September. More details to follow.
Camogie training continues at Pairc na nGael every Friday for U8, 10 & 12 from 6.30-8pm and U14/16 on Monday at 6.30pm. New girls welcome and equipment is available to borrow.

Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure in Letterkenny are currently stocking Club gear which includes replica jerseys, training tops, jackets, bobble hats, scarfs etc.

After a short break the Sunday morning Underage football training will resume this Sunday 19th August from 10.30am at the pitch. All welcome. 

The U-12 hurlers were defeated last Thursday evening when neighbours St. Eunans visited Páirc na nGael. The team are at home again this Thursday night where they take on Mc Cools. 
U-12 hurling training takes place on Tuesday evenings at Páirc na nGael at 6.30pm.
Underage hurling training continues every Thursday evening at the pitch from 6.30 to 7.30 for U-6 to U-12. Hurls and helmets may be borrowed for new members.

Letterkenny Gaels Drama Group will be presenting a play, Second Honeymoon by Sam Cree in October 2018. This year, Club stalwart Garry Coll is switching roles and will be taking on the role as Director. Casting & Auditions will take place shortly and will be advertised on the Club Facebook page. We will be looking for twelve characters (six male and six female) plus the following roles; Stage Manager and assistants, readers/prompters, lighting and sound, along with the usual helpers. Club members and their family and friends are especially welcome to come along on the night of auditions. Casting & Auditions are also open to members of the local community and the general public who may be interested.

Bingo continues every Monday in the Arena 7. The Jackpot stands at €7500.
Doors from 8pm. Eyes down 9pm. All welcome.

Sympathy is extended to the McGrath family of Magherennan on the recent sudden passing of Art.
