St Eunan's Letterkenny club notes

April 17, 2018

The Seniors and Reserves continued their good starts to their respective league campaigns against Dungloe on Sunday. They will face their sternest test to date on Sunday as they travel to Naomh Conaill for 1:30pm and 3pm throw-ins.

The Senior Hurlers met Setanta in a rematch of last year's Co. Senior Championship Final in Killygordon on Friday night and lost out in a cracking game by 3-10 to 1-12. They have no game this week.

The Senior Ladies hosted a strong Moville team on Sunday morning and were beaten. Once again the girls are fielding a very young team. The games get no easier with an away game v Termon this Sunday (22nd), but these games will do the girls good as they prepare for another crack at the Intermediate championship.

The Junior Men were due to meet MacCumhaills on Saturday evening and despite both teams being togged and ready no referee arrived to ref the match! The lads will hope to get their season underway this Saturday evening with a home game v N. Conaill.

Our Minor hurlers were due to play rivals Buncrana on Thursday night, but the home team failed to field, the boys make the short journey to play the Gaels this Thursday. Our U14 hurlers hosted Buncrana and had a good win and they travel to Setanta this Thursday night. Best of luck to all the club hurlers on the Letterkenny Schools U161/2 team this Thursday. Thanks to everyone that baked or helped out and to everyone that purchased from our Bake Sale for Féile fundraising on Sunday morning.

The U16 Boy's Div. 1 footballers were due to host Downings this Tuesday night in the Northern Board League semi-final, but the visitors are unable to field, and the lads will meet the winner of the Gaoth Dobhair v Termon game in the Final. The Development team (U15's) travel to St. Michael's on Tuesday night for their Shield semi-final. The Championship is due to get underway the following Tuesday (24th) with groups to be drawn this week. The Div. 1 team will face Malin, N. Padraig, Muff at home and Termon away in their group. The Development team will play in Div. 3 championship with home games against Bundoran and N. Bríd / Pettigo and away games with N. Padraig, Lifford / Robert Emmett's and Glenfin.

The U12 Team 1 had a good win away to Red Hugh's on Friday night, they travel to Letterkenny Gaels this Wednesday. Team 3 (U11's) defeated Team 2 last week in a very close game. Team 2 travel to St. Michael's on Wednesday with Team 3 hosting Gaoth Dobhair.
