Dara McVeety is a doubt for Cavan's Ulster SFC preliminary round date with Donegal on May 13^th.

The Crosserlough clubman was outstanding for the Breffni County in Sunday's Division Two final against Roscommon at Croke Park but suffered a hamstring tear towards the end of the game.

Manager Mattie McGleenan has confirmed that McVeety could now be sidelined for the championship opener:

"At this stage it looks like grade two or three, so four to six weeks," he told The Irish Independent. "We have a great medical team so we'll let them take care of it. They're only my thoughts at this stage, they're the brains of this operation."
