2018 Club Calendar:

Bord na nÓg will be selling 2018 club calendars. These calendars will be made up mainly of photos of all our underage Boys and Girls teams from the past season and will be on sale at the underage presentation night in Rosnakill on the 3rd of December at 5pm and will cost €10. If anyone overseas would like one, please get in touch with any committee member or our Facebook page and we can arrange for it to be posted out to you.

 

Congratulations William and family!:

Everyone at the club would like to send their congratulations and best wishes to former Gaels player/coach/mentor William McAteer, wife Katie and son Liam on the birth of their wee girl during the week. Willy still has strong ties with the Gaeil Fhánada club and we would like to wish all the McAteer family the best in the future.

 

Parish League Finals Postponed:

Due to the severe weather and the bad Forecast we decided to postpone the parish league finals set for Saturday past.

We will try and get them played over the Christmas holidays.

 

Bord na nOg calendar:

Our Bord na nOg committee have launched a 2018 Gaeil Fhánada calendar. The calendar contains a large selection of photos from our 2017 season and is great value at just €10. This would make a great present for Christmas while also you would also be contributing to the ongoing efforts within the Gaeil Fhánada club.

For those away from home - we can arrange delivery if you would like one of these lovely calendars. Just contact any member of the committee or message our Twitter/Facebook/Snapchat page and we will get it posted asap!

 

Senior presentation night:

The senior presentation night is scheduled to take place in the Fanad Lodge on Saturday January 6th. Further details to follow next week.

 

AGM:

Our AGM is provisionally penciled in for Saturday January 13th in Fanavolty Hall @ 7.30pm. We have had a promising year on and off the pitch and this is all down to the efforts of our volunteers who put in huge work behind the scenes . We would love to see some new faces that could help out in any capacity, be it being part of our senior committee, ladies committee, Bord na nOg, or coaching/mentoring/training our senior and underage playing members. Your contributions go a long way in pushing the club forward and we are hoping to see a big crowd at the AGM. There is a great community spirit and ethic at Gaeil Fhánada so why not become part of it!

 

Gaels Le Chéile:

Club gear has now been delivered to the entrants of the Gaels Le Chéile program. Next cash draw is in March for €400 with a final draw in June for €800. Thanks to all 29 entrants for their responsiveness and enthusiasm with the fundraiser. We are already putting plans in place for our 2018 'Gaels Le Chéile' so if you know anyone away from home that would be interested in being part of this initiative please contact our Facebook page. It's a great way to provide important funds for the club while receiving some great incentives.
