Derry manager Brian McIver was delighted by the turnout at the Open Night held last weekend.

A large crowd gathered at Owenbeg GAA centre to meet the Derry senior hurling and football squads last Friday night.

McIver told the County Derry Post: It was great to see such a large turnout and the enthusiasm of the youngsters for their heroes was something to admire.

"We recognise the importance of the county team for the entire community and we're only too happy to promote the game at every opportunity." Tweet
