Christy Ring Cup: Nolan points way for Kerry

Shane Nolan sent over nine points - seven from frees - as Kerry continued their winning ways under Tom Howard in the Christy Ring Cup against Derry in Austin Stack Park.

Backed by a strong win in the opening period, the Kingdom held a 0-10 to 0-4 interval advantage with Nolan accounting for all bar two of their first half points.

Derry failed to make the most of the elements in the second half as the two teams hit four points apiece.

Howard's charges now advance to the semi-finals while Derry will play a last-eight match next weekend.
