Doire Colmcille Club notes

Doire Colmcille are hosting an evening dedicated to Irish culture on
Saturday the 18th of September, the eve of the All Ireland Football
final.
The event will include traditional Irish music, Dancing and Culture
and is open to all guests who wish to share a great nights ceol agus
craic.

The event is being staged at an Culturlann in Great James Street and
more information can be found by contacting Doire Colmcilles cultural
officer Brian Duffy on 07909717703. If you would like to dance, sing,
tell a story you or if you know someone who would like to perform or
come along get in contact with Brian on the number above. The evening
is open to all the public and is not a fundraiser for Doire Colmcille
but a chance to promote Irish culture and showcase some of the talent
within Derry.

As usual the club will be getting its small allocation of All Ireland
final tickets. Can any fully paid member please express their interest
for tickets by contacting Mark Higgins on 07841638558. If over
subscribed a draw will be made - please note that tickets must be used
by member and not distributed elsewhere.

The minor team and Under 16s have had no matches recently. Training
for both of the teams continues at 7.00pm every Tuesday night. Every
effort should be made
to attend and players can contact coach Matt Maguire on 07711486537
for more information.

U14s played their last game of the league against Sean Dolans on
Monday evening. Winning convincingly by 6 points the lads played
excellent in every position of the field with Aaron Irwin again
showing his great talent in nets. Stephen Bergin, Ethan McDaid, Jack
Mcgeehan and Ciaran McDaid added experience to defence. From midfield
Cormac Gillen added great strength to the defence giving Conal Duffy
the freedom to push forward and help with the attack. Adam McDaid,
Dean Curran and Dee Watson proved a handful to the Sean Dolans defence
all game taking their scores with confidence. With the league over
colmcille have finished in a very respectable position and Brian would
like to thank all of the players for their hard work in training and
during the games throughout the year.
Brian's U14's training is on Saturday morning at 10.30am, also at St
Columb's College.

Under 8's 10's and 12's training continues on Tuesday 7,00pm and
Saturday at 10.30am at St. Columb's College.

Nursery age training has resumed at St Columbs College on Tuesday

This week's lotto number's are 4, 5, 13 and 14. There was no jackpot
winner whilst two people matched three numbers and share £50. Next
weeks
jackpot increases to £2,850. Doire Colmcille would like to thank all
the people who put in the hard effort and sold tickets in the past
week.
