Derry's Paddy Bradley gets the better of Dessie Mone of Monaghan
Paddy Bradley has refused to be drawn on whether he will be making a return to the Derry football set-up in the wake of Damian Cassidy's resignation as manager.
It's widely believed that Bradley and Cassidy didn't see eye-to-eye with the Glenullin clubman quitting the panel after being dropped for the All-Ireland qualifier first round clash with Carlow in June.
The star forward subsequently missed Derry's second round win over Westmeath and the third round defeat by Kildare, but says the departure of Cassidy doesn't necessarily mean that will be back in the Oak Leaf colours next year.
"It's something I haven't given any thought to yet," he told the Irish Examiner. "At the moment, I'm just focusing on club football.
"We're in the quarter-finals of the county championship, and all my mental and physical focus is directed on that."
The Ulster championship's highest scorer would have been expected to return to the fold had his father Liam allowed his name to go forward for the Derry vacancy. Instead, he has opted to stay with Antrim for a third year.
Bradley's younger brother Eoin remained part of the Derry squad up until their championship exit at the hands of Kildare.
