Doire Colmcille Club notes

Doire Colmcille shall be donating all training money received from our
players this weekend to the BBC Sport Relief 2010 appeal. A number of
our players shall also be taking part in the Sport Relief Mile and 6
mile event which take place at the University of Ulster Magee on
Sunday, with a 2pm start for the 6 mile event and 3pm start for the 1
mile event. If you would like to join us please enter at
www.sportrelief.com making sure to bring entry fees and sponsorship
money with you. All the money raised by the public is spent by Comic
Relief to help transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both
at home and across the worldís poorest countries and we at Doire
Colmcille are hoping to play our small part. You can pass any
donations to our coaches this weekend and this shall be passed on to
the BBC on behalf of the members and supporters of Doire Colmcille.
Senior Mens and Under 18 training continues on Tuesday and Thursday
evenings at the City of Derry Rugby club. With a 7pm start players are
asked to bring boots and runners for gravel and grass training. There
is a match scheduled for this Sunday at Templemore Sports Complex,
with everyone to meet there at 1.15pm. There shall be a players away
day held on Saturday the 27th of March. Further details can be found
by contacting PJ on 07909946535. All new players are welcome as the
top class training provided by coaching staff PJ and Seamus will help
build fitness levels and stamina for the season ahead.
Ladies team training takes place in Magee studio on Monday nights at
8pm. A match has been organised for Sunday week against Malin so all
players are asked to attend training to prepare.
Training continues for the Under 16s on Thursdays at Saint Columbs
College Sports hall with a 7.30 start. Training also continues
outdoors on Saturday mornings at Saint Columbs College beginning at 11
am. New players are more than welcome and you can contact coach Mat

Doire Colmcille Girls training takes place on Thursday evenings at
Saint Columbs College between 6.30 and 7.30pm. With the club entering
an Under 14 girls team for this years Feile, we would welcome all new
players interested in playing Gaelic Football. Excellent coaching is
provided by County Derry player ShaunaMcCallion, and you can contact

Brians Under 14s have a match scheduled for Saturday morning. All
players are asked to meet at Templemore Sports Complex at 10.30 am.

Training for Nursery age (under 6) children takes place on Tuesday
evenings at 6 pm at Saint Columbs College Sports Hall.
Boys and Girls Under 8, 10 and 12 training shall take place indoors at
Saint Columbs College Sports Hall at 7pm on Tuesday evenings and
outdoors at Saint Columbs College gravel pitches at 10.30 am on

Could we please remind parents that registration for players in now
due in addition to the £1 cost of training. We would also ask Parents
to make sure that children are clothed appropriately for the weather
conditions with gloves and wet weather gear being a must-have for the
outdoor sessions on Saturday mornings. Upcoming blitz's shall be

This weeks lotto numbers were 3, 12, 14 and 22. There were no winners
of the jackpot whilst four people matched three numbers and share £50.
Next weeks lotto prize rises to £1,650.
