The Minor footballers traveled to Kildress for a challenge game, they had a comfortable win but had the misfortune to lose two players through injury during the game. Hopefully Joe Bradley and Blaine McMath will make speedy recoveries.
The U-14 development squad went to Lissan for their next round in the Feile. This game ended up being played short and therefore as a challenge game due to the pitch not being made available for the full duration of a Feile game. The team suffered a narrow defeat and all players acquitted themselves very well.
The Under 14 football squad had a challenge game with Carryduff on Saturday. Despite the first half being a close encounter, Glen ran out convincing winners on a scoreline of Glen 5-13 Carryduff 1-4.
On Sunday the senior Camogs had a challenge game with Bellaghy, although we were missing several regulars through county or other commitments this was a good run out for the team. The game ended in a win for Bellaghy on a score line of Bellaghy 3-6 Glen 1-2.
Team & Scorers: Emma Bradley, Patrice Tohill, Michelle McGillion, Orla McGillion, Hannah Ferguson, Rebecca Ferguson, Carla Bradley, Aileen McKenna, Catriona Hull, Leanne McCrystal (0-1), Catherine McCullagh, Nuala Convery, Laura Coyle (1-0), Movita Gallagher(0-1), Sinead McDonald & Caoimhe Moran.
Apologies goes to our chairman who had his concentration ruined after receiving a phone call while on the golf course. We believe his form took a real slumped after this call.
We'd like to wish our Ceile dancer Maureen McWilliams a speedy recovery after sustaining a broken foot during dancing practice. We hope she is back in her dancing pumps in the not too distant future.
Under 8 & Under 10 Camogie training continues on Sunday mornings in St Patrick's Sports Hall from 12.00 noon to 1.00pm. All new members welcome.
Under 14 Camogie Training continues at the pitch on Wednesday evenings from 6 - 7pm.
