Is it true that the management insisted on playing Bradley (one of the best scoring forwards in the county) as a sweeper even as we were getting hammered in the second?? If so, WTF ???? That is amateurish in the extreme!! ramor101 (Cavan) - Posts: 289 - 28/05/2014 12:51:48 1594661 Link 0 |
Worst display from a Cavan team in a long long time. Weather did not help but they seemed totally disorganized. No plan,heart... eyeball (Cavan) - Posts: 85 - 28/05/2014 16:26:00 1594782 Link 0 |
I repeat the question ...........Is it true that the management insisted on playing Bradley (one of the best scoring forwards in the county) as a sweeper even as we were getting hammered in the second?? they need someone who knows nothing about any of the players instead of just picking the players who where known to the county minors.alot of the team was based around virginia and st.pats. someone with experience with this age group and can bring in the players that should be there. barrythelegend (Cavan) - Posts: 30 - 01/06/2014 18:45:38 1596358 Link 0 |
Bringing in an outsider may not be a bad idea? patman92 (Cavan) - Posts: 70 - 02/06/2014 12:36:03 1596678 Link 0 |
these development squads are great but there is an obvious flaw. lads find it hard to infiltrate the panel if they weren't involved at under-16. lots of lads develop at different rates and players who are county material at under 16 may have been surpassed by late-developers at minor. however it seems that the lads who are known to the county coaches will always get preference over others who hadn't been involved at an earlier age. I think we are missing out on some good players because of this. s goldrick (Cavan) - Posts: 5518 - 02/06/2014 13:29:38 1596715 Link 0 |
we have under performed for the past three years under these managers, yet the players that then went onto the under 21's. notimpressed (UK) - Posts: 98 - 02/06/2014 14:55:03 1596802 Link 0 |
I think that the best thing we can do is bring in an outsider with experience. He would have little knowledge of the players preventing any bias? patman92 (Cavan) - Posts: 70 - 02/06/2014 15:40:26 1596842 Link 0 |
Outside managers don't work and especially at underage. What we needs us one of our own coaches, maybe Jason Reilly? fredflint (Cavan) - Posts: 1483 - 02/06/2014 16:06:16 1596857 Link 0 |
