Shoulder to shoulder..? Please stop….have a look at the replay and you'll see that it wasn't. It probably did deserve a red card but these things always look worse at top speed. But it wasn't shoulder to shoulder….

Replying To WEXILE:  "I think the only way it wouldn't put us in final is that if 3 teams finish level on points then it goes to score difference. I'm guessing if that happened we'd be tight because we don't blow teams away on the scoreboard but yes Carlow is a leinster quarter final for us and if we win that the kk is a leinster semi"
If Antrim beat Dublin then we have to beat Carlow and Kilkenny. If Dublin beat Antrim and we only beat Carlow then it will be score difference between us and Dublin

Replying To OpenStandWall:  "More questions than answers after that. Galway were very poor. 1-6 from Rory when he wasn't being played 70 yards away. Liam Ryan with an absolutely titanic performance."
Rory finally came of age today. Always had the ability. Started really poorly today too, messed up the first 4 or 5 balls he got but settled down to give his best performance in a Wexford jersey. Thought Ryan was a bit rusty if I'm honest, not sure he caught a single ball but there was nobody running down the middle of our defence today! He has a presence about him that none of our other defenders do.

Excellent performance and a long overdue win v Galway. Could have beaten them by another 5 or 6, Lee was mixed enough on the frees. Was very impressed by Hearne/Lawlor in midfield. Damien Reck vastly improved from his display v Antrim too. I'd be critical of Fanning often but bar one silly puck out into the stand he was solid and landed a couple of long frees.

Onto Carlow, going to get nothing handy there, especially if we turn up half ar$ed like in Belfast.

Replying To WEXILE:  "2 week break now does anyone know what injured players if any are in contention for Carlow. It would be great to have Dee O'Keefe back, any word on CBD or Molloy? Am I missing any other injured players? McGuckin was on the bench today.

Hopefully the break too will benefit Kevin Foley, Donohoe. I thought both of those looked tired or underperformed in Dublin, Carlow game.

Hopefully Jack O is not after aggregating his injury and I'm guessing Cian Byrne is looking at a suspension"
Jacko was nowhere near fit enough to play today. He tried chasing back after half time and it was clear he couldn't. Dunbar did ok when he came on.

On your point on Rory and what I said earlier - he has a natural instinct as to where the posts are, same with Byrne, they shouldn't have to be going out past the 45.

Liam Og and Hearne did superb in the middle of the field today also. 2 weeks rest now will hopefully stand to them.

To be fair to Lee his eye was fairly swollen and closed up after the knock from the sliotar

Well done to the supporters on playing their part in really getting behind the team in the second half

Chin has been brilliant in all three games so far and today is the only time the team have matched him

Rossiter was very decisive this week ringing the changes before and during the game. Game plan was excellent and positioning changes were constant

The defence was immense keeping Whelan to 1 from play and Conor Cooney very quiet. The ball into our forward line was excellent and always changing. There was a brief period when our forwards weren't putting the Galway defence under enough pressure around the 20 to 30 minute mark and Galway started to get on top but we rectified it

Towards the end Conor Foley's man caught a few balls clean over his head from puck outs but Foley managed to get back on top and even scored his own point after a few long range wides

I feel if we had Liam Ryan for the last two games we would be sitting on 6 points today. He was brilliant. A wall on the half back line - you shall not pass.

Chin is an all time great of Wexford hurling and Rory produced a masterclass. Rory chasing down and forcing the turnover and putting it over the bar was one of the best points he has ever scored. 1-6 from play in championship vs Galway is a huge achievement.

We were under huge pressure after the sending off and we really rallied as a team. We showed incredible heart and character. And out scored them with 14 men for the last 24 minutes including injury time.

It would be amazing if we could somehow get to a Leinster final as I feel Leinster has a few plot twists left. And on our day we can beat anyone

We have had three really exciting matches so far and we have finally gotten over the line.

Is it enough to make 3rd place?"
If we win our next 2 games we are definitely in the Leinster final

No it's a mini League between the 3 teams. Which if it comes to pass will mean we are ahead of Kilkenny and Galway as we would've beaten them both.

I'm not do sure about that. If 2 teams are level on points then the head-to-head decides but If more than 2 teams are level then score difference will be the deciding factor.

Firstly I have never been happier to eat humble pie. That was one hell of a performance also ROC interview on gaago was top class.

But can we all forget about a leinster final our full focus needs to be on carlow cause make no mistake carlow are eyeing us up the very same way antrim did. And with players like John Nolan and Marty kavanagh and the defender Dion wall they have players that can really hurt us. Plus they now know that they need something against wexford to keep liam Mccarthy status.

One game at a time and each opponent needs are full attention.

Wexford beating Galway was the result I didn't want as an Antrim supporter but it's really opened up Leinster. Here's a possible but unlikely scenario:

Kilkenny win their last 3
Carlow lose their last 3
Antrim beat Dublin
Dublin beat Galway
Galway beat Antrim

The upshot of that:
Kilkenny v Antrim final (9 pts/6 pts)
Wexford/Galway/Dublin all on 5 pts (score difference to see who gets 3rd)
Carlow relegated (0 pts)

I'm led to believe that CBD is out for the year with a groin unjury due to over-training

Yeah I watched it back after. It was 100% a foul.

I maintain concannon on Eoin Ryan was worse though.

We really are the Jeckyl & Hyde of the hurling world. It's very true what Richie Hogan said during the week about Wexford. To paraphrase him he said we were only capable of low gear or high gear, no in-between. And so that was the case yesterday.
From the poor displays against Dublin and Antrim to the high octane performance against the tribesmen. This was great stuff in every way.
Every player went out there and played as if their lives depended on it.
This was a team performance and even though Chin bagged 11 points I think, there wasn't an overreliance on him. What a match Jippo had.
Was in total control from start to finish. In fact all our backs including Fanning were superb.
What can one say about Rory? When he plays like he did yesterday he is unmarkable and scoring 1. 6 says it all.
Carlow next up and surely we won't slip up in that game. With Wexford of course you never know.
JECKYL & HYDE.

Don't forget Dublin, if they should beat Galway for instance as Galway are very poor at the moment. A badly coached team. Then it's possible it could be Dublin in the mix
