Watched the game twice now. A lot of moments we could have been gone - T Kellys wide in 72mins. Conaty chance to put them 21 19 up but phew its great to win a tight ulster final, as since 2011, bar the monaghan 2014 win (where goal got them back in it), we seemed to have won the easier ones and lost the tighter ones so magic to come out of a real tight one. The colour and scenes at the end will never be forgotten. Patrick, what a speech. On Armagh, some sound fans I spoke to and always had a small soft spot for them since 1992, when their minors who were in minor AI final and they fully stayed on to support us very well v the dubs, but there is 2 players in particular I am delighted they lost. One the nephew of a BBC pundit and also the man who used to man mark Michael Murphy and who was a disgrace v Lacey in the 2014 AI quarter. Moving forward it would be great to see a packed ballybofey on 25/26. On a side note for our soccer fans on here, the 25th both at 3pm sees the Celtic Rangers and City Man United cup finals, so regardless of a clash I will be on that Ballybofey terrace. Donegal has done brilliantly ,i couldn't care less about the all Ireland series a joke of a competition really . but if Donegal want to win it as well they should forget about the Tyrone match let them idiots fight like mad for two mickey mouse pts and rest up and be fresh for cork and clare etc .. should be handy games for Donegal and arrive fresh into croke park when the serious stuff starts again red.hugh (Donegal) - Posts: 176 - 14/05/2024 13:35:48 2544716 Link

I would think it has to the Saturday as the sunday is consumed with the last round of the hurling. Judging by this weekends throw in times it would be 17.30 and be on gaa go. The weekend after is a trip to cork. That's a bank holiday weekend and accommodation is very expensive. The cork marathon is on that Sunday so guess it will have to be a Saturday as well. In my eyes Kerry and Dublin are a step ahead but were capable of getting to a final if things go our way. Were lucky so far with injuries hopefully it'll stay that way. After the scramble for tickets for the Ulster final, the 3 match package is great value and guarantees entry to the Tyrone game. If we could only get the exact date for the trip to Cork in order to book a hotel it would be great. Where will the Clare game be played? Sligo, Tuam, Castlebar or Roscommon. Though with Corks poor football support and the distance from Donegal they may not expect a big crowd. Hopefully in the new stadium as looks class. Surely we need to top our group to avoid a pre quarter final match to have us fresh for a possible quarter final. To top our group we need to beat Tyrone. They'd hardly bring us to Salthill." I'd say you're safe to assume that the Cork game will be on the Saturday evening due to the fact the Cork marathon is on the next day. We're going to stay in Mallow on the Saturday night and train it into the city to save the stress of driving round a city I'm not at all familiar with. And the hotels in the city are very pricey. It's only my opinion lad we played them three times and only a point have separated us in three games. They are a very decent team who we done well to overcome.. if I'm being honest they were probably the better team on Sunday but the losses they had this last few years has definitely affected them .
